 Demetri "Jimmy" brings a unique perspective to the local farm-   to-table cuisine by combining his experiences living in       Rhodesia and Cyprus, as well as his 35 years in the restaurant business. His background began with Mediterranean food, and he has 3 full-service Greek restaurants in Southern California with strong 4 1⁄2 star ratings on Yelp. In addition, he has two licensing fast casual restaurants in the Long Beach Airport (just rated #1 best food program in an airport in the United States) and California State University, Long Beach. Demetri has since branched out into the farm-to-table movement, utilizing influences from all over the world. He uses only the freshest produce (much of it made from the family's own farm and garden), meat from local vendors, and artisanal cheeses. He is dedicated to preparing tailor-made menus for even the most discernible palates.

Established in 1999.

The story of George's Greek Café is really the story of a family. George and his wife Rodou (Mama) began their journey on the island of Cypress in Greece. Together with their three children, Dimitri (Jimmy), Nikki and Rip they traveled throughout Africa before landing in Long Beach to open the first George's Greek Café in December of 1999. The family worked together, pooled their resources, and brought their dream to life. When asked about the secret to the success of the restaurant, Nikki replies "having our friends and family over to break bread and just enjoy each other's company is what we live for. We try to extend that to our restaurants." Today, George's has expanded to four restaurants, including a new location in Huntington Beach. Although the chain continues to grow, the family feel has not been lost, the entire family still works in the restaurants. Demitiri Loizides is proud to be the owner of the George's Greek Cafe restaurants, along with his entire immediate family.  The cities with which George's resides in have welcomed his families dream and mission to bring homemade Greek food to its community, with open arms. He is excited for the future expansion of George's restaurants in Southern California.
